Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest (sprinkle into batter; a little goes a long way)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • One 12-ounce bag dark chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup Generation Elle Regenerate CBD Infused Coconut Oil

Preparation

Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prepare Baking Sheets

  • Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Whisk until sufficiently mixed and set aside.

Step 3: Prepare Cookie Dough

  • In another large bowl, combine Generation Elle Regenerate CBD Infused Coconut Oil, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Beat ingredients with an electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy (about 4 minutes).
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after adding each one.
  • Then, add the vanilla and orange zest.
  • Reduce the speed of your mixer to medium and carefully add the dry ingredient mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Finally, stir in the dark chocolate chips.

Step 4: Combine Mixtures to Form Cookie Batter

  • Reduce the speed of your mixer to medium and carefully add the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.

Baking Instructions

Step 5: Scoop Cookie Dough

  • Scoop 12 heaping tablespoons of cookie dough onto each baking sheet about 2-inches apart.
  • Roll each into a ball; it helps to have slightly wet hands.

Step 6: Baking & Cooling

  • Bake for 20-24 minutes, or until the cookies are golden, but still soft in the center,.
  • Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer them to a rack to cool completely.
  • Repeat the baking process for the remaining dough.
  • Store the cookies in a tightly sealed container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Baker’s Note: When using CBD in baking, it’s vital to keep temperature in mind. While warming up your oil could increase the effectiveness of your CBD, high temperatures can destroy many of its active compounds. The boiling point of CBD is 320-356 degrees Fahrenheit. Baking CBD at temperatures above this for prolonged periods could cause the CBD added to your recipe to evaporate.
