CBD Questions
CBD is 1 of over 60 cannabinoids found in cannabis. CBD was not isolated until 1940 by the chemist Roger Adams, and its chemical structure wasn’t clearly defined until 1963 by Raphael Mechoulam.
Although CBD and THC are by far the most popular and well-studied, there are more than 60 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Many of them are present in such low amounts that they’re difficult to detect at all; modern scientific estimates place the real number anywhere between 60 and 113 cannabinoids.
Everyone is different so there is no straight answer. We certainly cannot guarantee that it’s not a possibility. We can neither confirm nor deny the possibility of failing a drug test and cannot be held responsible if the test comes back with positive or false-positive results. Our product comes with a companion COA that verifies the CBD/THC content. At this time we only use CBD Isolate.
CBD Isolate
CBD isolate is a pure, crystalline powder that contains 99% pure CBD. CBD isolate contains only CBD. All the plant matter contained in the hemp plant, including oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and more are removed, offering a finished product that is CBD and nothing more.
Broad Spectrum
Broad spectrum CBD is the middle ground option between isolate and full spectrum CBD. It begins as a full spectrum oil, with the full range of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes, but it then goes through a refinement process to remove all THC compounds.
Full Spectrum
Because full-spectrum CBD oil interacts with cannabinoid receptors in the brain, it’s not entirely accurate to describe it as non-psychoactive. However, it will not induce the sense of euphoria for which THC is so well-known. Full-spectrum contains plant terpenes that contribute to the entourage effect. Full Spectrum CBD includes at least 113 known cannabinoids, all created inside a single hemp plant. It preserves all of the therapeutic cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids that occur naturally in hemp. By definition, hemp contains less than 0.3% THC.
The defining characteristic between hemp and marijuana is the chemical composition contained within each plant.
Both hemp and marijuana can produce high amounts of CBD, the non-intoxicating cannabis compound; however, THC is produced at very different levels.
While hemp can contain no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight, marijuana can contain up to 30% THC content.
It’s a CBD unspoken rule that you should go low and slow.
Start small and build up. Gradually build up to 1 dropper full 1-2 times a day. Hold under your tongue for 30 seconds. In theory, the key is to have the CBD enter your bloodstream through the mucous membranes under the tongue for better absorption.
There are approximately 30 servings in a 1 oz bottle. Your bottle should last anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month.
CBD oil has been studied for its potential role in easing symptoms of many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease. For those with cancer, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom relief.
Though CBD has been shown to help reduce symptoms related to cancer and cancer treatment, and may even have cancer-fighting properties, more research is needed to assess its efficacy and safety.
Hemp oil does not contain any CBD. It is an oil derived from the hemp plant. Hemp oil, or hemp seed oil, is made from hemp seeds, meaning there is little to no CBD content. It is normally used in products as a carrier oil.
CBD oil is made from the leaves, flowers, and stalk of the hemp plant—the only part of the plant where cannabidiol is found.
Product Questions
Our super exquisite bombs are made of different rich clays. These clays attract the oils that are in the bombs causing them to soften. Although they start out hard as a rock, over time, you may notice some crumbling. It’s still your faithful bath bomb with all of its oils just a little softer. Be sure to hold it over the tub when opening if you notice that it has gone soft on you. ?
You may have noticed, (or perhaps not, dependent on your ambient temperature), that the cream has suddenly gotten a grainy texture. It dissolves when it’s warmed up on the skin, but what has happened? The short answer is…The cream has not gone bad, it is still good to use.
This is completely normal. The fatty acids in Cocoa Butter melt and solidify at different temperatures, they can form clumps that cause a grainy feeling. At slight temperature changes that you or I may not notice, the cream heats and cools. While it heats up, the fats separate. Once it sets (at room temperature instead of in a cooler) it can become crystallized or grainy.
To start with a smooth cream we temper it during manufacturing but, depending on the surrounding temps after shipping, it can start to melt. We like to keep ours cool.
When your GenElle Renew CBD Oil turns pink it is due to an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase. Polyphenols are naturally occurring antioxidants. Although our CBD mixed MCT Coconut Oil starts out as a clear liquid, due to high concentrations of polyphenols, it may turn pinkish the longer it is exposed to oxygen and light. With our new packaging, we now have the Renew CBD Oil in a protected dark matte glass bottle. Cheers!
